Here's the run down...
Being a lash artist or running a lash business is not an easy / hassle free job. Running your own business comes with a lot of time & dedication, you may need to set up your own space & pay for rent, insurance, then there's marketing, heating and cooling and so much more to be considered.
If you're looking to be an employee you will need to practice your skills and build up your experience to showcase your work to land yourself a job.
No 9-5 job here... If you are starting your own business or a side hustle you do have the option of choosing your own hours. However, be mindful that these hours may not suit you your clients who often like to Thursday/Friday nights and Saturday appointments.
If you're looking to be employed, then your hours will most definitely fall on a Thursday/Friday evening and weekends.
Having a steady hand IS A MUST!! If you haven't got a steady hand, then sadly this might not be the career for you. Why is this so important? Well, you need to use tweezers to pick up tiny little lashes, dip them in adhesive and then apply them to the natural lash... glue right near the eye... Yep... Keep those hands steady Eddie!!
If you are going to invest in taking a course, you also need to invest your time to practise and learn the skills to be a great technician. While making sure you choose the right training is important, nobody can make your lash dream happen except for you!
